Creation of the laboratory STM LABORATORY, 1st laboratory in Europe to offer oil analysis
1977-80
Creation of a subsidiary "Société Vernolienne de laboratoire" to meet the needs of SHELL France.In 1980, this subsidiaryof this subsidiary to SHELL.
1986 -1992
STM expands in Industry in partnership with EMS. In 1992, STM merged with EMS to become ST2M
1994
Creation of BfB Oil Research in Belgium
1997
Opening of a new laboratory in Lyon in partnership with SEP
2001-2003
Creation of the company IESPM following ST's acquisition and merger of 2 other laboratories (SEP and AXIOL)
2012 -2013
2 new acquisitions: the laboratory BfB Oil Research and the dielectric analysis business of Bureau Véritas Laboratoire.

Today, Eurofins IESPM is located at the Verneuil d’Avre et d’Iton laboratory.

Eurofins IESPM’s historic headquarters, the laboratory is equipped with modern, high-performance equipment. Our R&D team is constantly developing new, ever more efficient analysis techniques and methods. In addition to all the “classic” lubricant analyses, the Verneuil site has a division dedicated exclusively to dielectric fluid analyses.
The laboratory is COFRAC NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited and NF EN ISO 9001 certified, guaranteeing our customers top-quality services and analysis results.

Since 2021, Eurofins IESPMhas been part of the network’s environment branch, alongside other experts in theindustrial fluids and lubricants analysis sector:
A historic subsidiary of Eurofins IESPM, Eurofins BfB Oil Research, located in Gembloux, Belgium, specializes in performance, physico-chemical and environmental testing of industrial and automotive fluids and lubricants.
The laboratory offers its customers unique analysis solutions on several levels:
- Quality control and compliance
- Measuring environmental impact
- Help with research and development, and product selection
- Evaluating the performance and compatibility of fluids and lubricants
Eurofins BfB Oil Research is also :
- 10 000 samples processed per year
- 800 square meters of laboratory space
- 30 years of expertise
Located in Strongsville, Ohio, the Eurofins TestOil specializes in oil and fuel analysis. It offers a wide range of services to help engineers and fleet managers set up monitoring programs for their machines (sampling assistance, customized reporting, training, etc.).
Eurofins TestOil is ISO 17025 (v.2017) accredited and authorized to receive, treat and dispose of radioactively contaminated lubricants in accordance with Appendix B of 10 CFR 50.
Eurofins TestOil is also :
- Nearly 1580 square meters of laboratory space
- More than 2000 samples tested per day
